Postać ubrana na czarno, stoi na brzegu rzeki nieruchomo, wpatrzona w przeciwległy brzeg. Po chwili, na rzece pojawia się łódź. Na niej stoi druga postać łudząco podobna do pierwszej, wpatrzona w ten sam punkt przeciwległego brzegu. Przez krótką chwilę postacie znajdują się na tej samej linii, której koniec wyznaczony jest przez wzrok spoglądających postaci.
A person dressed in black is standing motionless in front of the river, staring at the bank on the other side. After a while a boat appears on the river. Another person, looking exactly like the first one, is standing in the boat, staring at the same point on the bank. For a minute both persons are located on the same line, the end of which is defined by their gazes.
Patrząc na całe zdarzenie z oddalenia, będziemy świadkami chwilowego zaćmienia, w którym kształty obu postaci nałożą się na siebie.
Jeśli będziemy bardziej uważni, możemy zauważyć coś jeszcze.
